WEIRTON – The Alpha Tau (WV) chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educationalists, held its November meeting at Eat’n Park in Weirton.

President Amy Hannahs opened the meeting. The thought of the day, a reading of “Walking in Grace” was given by Chaplain Kathy Griffith.

The roll call was taken by Velda Icard, secretary, and the minutes of the October meeting were approved as presented. Treasurer Angela Cunningham presented the financial report. A report on the Ohio Valley District meeting was presented by Amy Hannahs, Velda Icard, Kathy Griffith and Fran Jones.

The group discussed the upcoming Three Chapter Christmas Brunch with Alpha Kappa and Fidelis Gamma, to be held at Froehlich’s Classic Corner in Steubenville in December.

The selfless project of the month was to provide clothing to local elementary schools. Other committee reports included updates from Ginger Greene on Bylaws, Pam Robinson’s Scholarships, and Fran Jones’ Ways and Means.

Pam Robinson was recognized as Violet Sister, 10 with 24 years of membership, and Rita Schmitt was recognized as Sapphire Sister, with 35 years of membership.

Members enjoyed dinner after the meeting. The hostesses were Susan Gracie and Rita Schmitt.
