Escambia Circuit Judge Jennie Kinsey sentenced a Pensacola man to 30 years in state prison on Monday after pleading multiple counts of child sexual assault.
Michael Tracy Tedder, 30, has also been named as a sexual predator and sex offender.
According to a press release from the state’s attorney’s office, his charges included multiple counts of sexual assault by a person under family authority and lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of a minor.

“This defendant preyed on children who should have been able to trust him,” attorney Carrie Gilmer said in a statement. “With the sentence imposed, Mr. Tedder will no longer be able to harm innocent children.”
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local elementary school last year after a child disclosed sexual abuse to a school counselor.
During the investigation, authorities determined that Tedder had abused other victims.
