Churches in Loveland will be welcoming people to a variety of Easter season services and programs this weekend.
Enduring Love Lutheran Church
Abiding Love Lutheran Church, 2825 E. First St., Loveland, will offer a Good Friday Service of Darkness at 7 p.m. Friday.
Easter Festival worship will be held at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Buckhorn Presbyterian Church
Buckhorn Presbyterian Church, 8762 N. County Road 27, Masonville, announced plans for Easter week.
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the church (weather permitting).
Children of all ages are invited to have a great time searching the church grounds for candy-filled eggs.
Easter sunrise and mid-morning services will be held on Sunday at the church.
The 7:30 a.m. “Sonrise” service will be held outdoors (weather permitting) in the amphitheater overlooking the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The 10:30 a.m. worship service will be held inside the historic stone church. Holy Communion will be served at both services.
Easter breakfast will be served between services, starting at 8:45 a.m. All are invited to join in the celebration of the risen Lord on Easter morning.

Church of Campion
Campion Academy, 300 42nd St. SW, Loveland, will present “Journey to the Cross” between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.
The celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the 30-minute musical and narrative guided tours will begin in the Campion Academy gymnasium from the hour and half hour. It’s an Easter gift to the community and admission is free.
The guests will gather in the church; groups will be formed to carry out interactive visits.
Everything is wheelchair accessible.
A cantata, “What Wonderful Hope,” will be performed at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church, 300 48th St. SW, Loveland. Eighteen singers from the Northern Colorado Adventist Choir accompanied by an orchestra of community and student musicians will be under the direction of George Swanson, musician and member of Campion Church. This concert is free.

Crossroads Church, 5420 N. Taft Ave., Loveland, will offer services on Easter Sunday at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

On Friday, prayer stations will be open at Faith Church, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a Good Friday service with communion at 7 p.m.
Easter morning services are held at 9 a.m. with a traditional-style service led by a choir and at 10:30 a.m. with a contemporary service led by an orchestra.

Good Friday prayer stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Faith Evangelical Church, 2707 N. Wilson Ave., Loveland.
The church will offer individual prayer stations on the theme “The Seven Last Words of Christ”. The prayer stations will focus on the words of Christ from the Cross, such as “Father, forgive them”; “I’m thirsty” and “Today you will be with me in paradise”.
Everyone is invited to stop and pray at any time of the day.

First Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church will present the Easter cantata “Hallelujah!” interwoven with reflections by Pastor Brian Keithline at 9:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
Conducted by Dr. David McArthur, the Chancel Choir and a small orchestral ensemble, the service will include a special concerto by Shostakovich (Piano Concerto No. 2, II. Andante) presented by Dr. Mira McArthur.
After the cantata, there will be an Easter egg hunt and a special fraternal reception celebrating Dr. David McArthur’s 16th birthday with the church. Everyone is welcome.

First Christian Church
An ecumenical Good Friday service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, 2000 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland.
The focus will be on the last words of Christ with music from each church and a mass choir. Choirs from First United Presbyterian Church and First Congregational Church will join the FCC Choir.
The combined choir will be led by Samuel Gray, the new music director of First United Presbyterian Church. Nikki Glantz, music director of the First Congregational Church, will be the accompanist.
Recalling the past two years of limited community music-making due to the pandemic, Gray explained that the featured piece, Mary McDonald’s “A Hymn of Promise,” “touches on the painful and memorable significance of the past, while acknowledging a future hope that we (humanity) have yet to see clearly.
“I would invite the large community of Loveland and northern Colorado to this combined Good Friday service, as it focuses on the sadness and sadness of this important liturgical day, while providing space, openness, to a rebirth of humanity,” Gray said.
Ministers from participating churches are Reverend Amy Morgan of First United Presbyterian Church, Reverend Thandiwe Dale-Ferguson of First Congregational Church and Reverend Michael Stein of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
First United Methodist Church
First United Methodist Church, 533 N. Grant Ave., Loveland, will offer services on Easter Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The First United Presbyterian Church will offer an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday at North Lake Park Pavilion No. 3, Taft Avenue and 29th Street. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a beautiful sunrise and relaxed service outdoors.
Easter worship will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of First United Presbyterian Church, 400 E. Fourth St., Loveland. Brass and choir will help express the joy of Easter morning.

Reverend Laurel Liefert, worship associate Brad Willenbrock and musical director Ryan Marvel will present a service themed “Practicing Resurrection.”
For Christians, Easter designates grace and salvation as a gift from God. Grace also means elegance of beauty, form, manner, movement or action. The service will ask: What does “grace” mean to Unitarian Universalists and where do we find it?
