Starlight hikers set to raise £60,000 for Sue Ryder – Gloucestershire News Service

Matt Reay, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, said: “We are absolutely blown away by everyone’s support for this year’s Starlight Hike, showing up in their brightest lights and outfits to make the night an incredible success. You all looked brilliant!

“Thank you to our long-standing title sponsor, Capita Cheltenham, to all of our supporters, including the very generous Creed Catering, The Exmouth and The Royal for their continued support and donations, and of course to our dedicated team of volunteers and marshals, without whom we would simply not be able to organize this fantastic event.

“At Sue Ryder, we believe that the end of a person’s life is the most important moment in their life. Our care teams are doing all they can to make room for the things that matter, like spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, memories, and filling their last days with love.

“It’s truly moving that Sue Ryder Starlight Hike Cheltenham has helped people create special memories together, while remembering and celebrating the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us. Starlight Hike of the Year next one will take place on Saturday October 21, 2023 and we hope to welcome you again!
