WILLIAM NEUMAN Obituaries – Obituaries and Service Information

William David Neuman, 87, of Dresher, PA, died Monday, March 28. Born April 20, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, to Harold L. and Sylvia (Haimowitz) Neuman. Billy, an early iconoclast with a quirky humour, was a speleologist, skier, diver and mountaineer in his youth. After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, he did his military service, then worked for the family business, Robert Bruce, Inc. Married to Donna Reisman for nearly 30 years, then divorced, but is remained friend. He enjoyed photography, stamp collecting and road trips with his daughters. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Billy was true to his word and always willing to help when he could. He attended Beth Shalom while he could, as his father was instrumental in getting Frank Lloyd Wright to design the synagogue. An avid hiker after retirement, he was more at home in nature and nearly achieved his goal of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. His surviving family includes his children, Nathan (Marci) Neuman, Esq., Blair (Richard Norman) Neuman, Stacy Neuman and Toni (Christian) Noto; his grandsons Ross Neuman and Sebastian Noto; his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Alan Smith, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (www.appalachiantrail.org). Arranged by Joseph Levine and Sons. www.levinefuneral.com
