A woman called 911 multiple times when there was no active emergency, according to an arrest affidavit.

At approximately 6:24 p.m. on July 24, a woman identified as Graciela Lopez, 42, called 911 to report an incident in the 1000 block of Maryland Avenue.

Lopez appeared to be intoxicated when officers encountered her. She said she drank with her friends, according to the affidavit.

During the investigation, Lopez became aggressive and belligerent with the officers on scene. Lopez walked away from officers as they tried to get information from her to file the report. She walked to the middle of the street and did not comply with the instructions.

Lopez continued to call 911 even though officers were there. Officers ordered him not to call 911 as there was no emergency. But Lopez called 911 five times and kept walking in the middle of the roadway.

Lopez was cited for public intoxication and arrested for making abusive silent calls to the 911 service.
